Power Vinyasa Teacher Training

200 Hour

This 200-hour Yoga Alliance-approved teacher training begins with a week-long retreat on the gorgeous Whidbey Island near Seattle and concludes with a week-long retreat in Mexico. The well-rounded program emphasizes anatomy, alignment and adjustments, including a detox and an introduction to holistic health. We will also enjoy a special Sanskrit immersion with two of the finest Sanskrit teachers, David Oliver and Cheryl Hall.

Encouraging a creative focus to unlock your individual potential, the Power Vinyasa Training teaches a strong and dynamic flow both mentally and physically. We will explore philosophy, pranayama, meditation and much more.

This training is appropriate for serious students who would like to start teaching yoga or deepen their personal practice. You will come away with a strong foundation for the business, technical and inspirational side of teaching yoga.

Some of the classes that will be included in the 200-hour curriculum:

  • Principles of Power Vinyasa

  • Anatomy & Physiology

  • Adjusting

  • Sanskrit & Yoga Sutras Immersion

  • Sequencing & Creative Flow

  • Yoga History & Philosophy, 8 limbs of yoga

  • Pranayama, Meditation & Chanting

  • Ayurveda, Holistic Health, Nutrition

  • Chakras

  • Reading the class, motivating & inspiring your students

  • Yoga for special needs, contraindications, pregnancy, injuries

  • Business, Ethics

  • Observation

  • Practice Teaching

  • Watch videos of yourself as you progress

  • Restorative, Partner Yoga & Massage

  • Exploration of other styles of yoga

Pre-requisites: Minimum of one year of a consistent Vinyasa/Power Vinyasa practice, and a current 4-6day/week yoga practice

Not included: Airfare & transfers in Mexico, transportation to Whidbey Island (we will try to arrange carpools), books and a passport!

**Because of the retreat reservations there will be no refunds issued after August 1. Refunds will be issued for cancellations made prior to August 1, minus a $50 application fee.
